Faculty Recital: Michael Hart

Assistant professor Michael Hart is accompanied by senior lecturer Eric Kinsley in a performance of works for tuba and piano. The recital features compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Joseph Haydn, Eric Ewazen and Astor Piazzolla.

Hart conducts the Wind Ensemble and teaches courses in music education, conducting and theory. He has performed throughout the country, including as a finalist at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference Competition, and has premiered several works for tuba. Kinsley teaches piano at Cal Lutheran and has soloed with the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Pasadena Orchestra, Santa Barbara Symphony and Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra.
