'The Two Noble Kinsmen'

22nd Annual Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival

'The Two Noble Kinsmen'

A Shakespeare play you’ve never seen? For the first time in its history, Kingsmen Shakespeare Company presents The Two Noble Kinsmen, which scholars believe to be the final work of the Bard’s world-altering career. In what is thought to be a collaboration with his protégé, John Fletcher, Shakespeare reworks an already famous tale by the great Geoffrey Chaucer. In it, the cousins and lifelong friends Arcite and Palamon find themselves on opposite sides of a bitter love triangle. Come treat yourself to this tragicomic story of betrayal, war, madness and all-consuming passion.

Festival grounds open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-show picnicking and entertainment.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is the professional theater company of Cal Lutheran. The nonprofit organization coordinates apprentice programs for professional and aspiring Shakespearean actors, an educational tour program in local schools, and summer theater camps for youth.

General admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 65 and over, $15 for students with ID and, as always, free for everyone under 18. Reserved lawn boxes have room for six and are available online for $90–$110. Parking is available in the lot off Mountclef Boulevard just south of Olsen Road.
