Stand Up Against Sexual Violence

Take Back the Night

Join us on Sexual Assault Awareness Month's Day of Action for a rally, march, and community gathering to stand up against sexual violence. Our event begins with a rally at 7 p.m. in Kingsmen Park. From there, join us as we march across Cal Lutheran's campus and convene with a community gathering in the Student Union.

Katie Koestner, who in 1990 became the first woman in the U.S. to speak out about being the victim of date rape, will keynote the sexual violence prevention rally. Koestner is the executive director of the Take Back the Night Foundation.

Many members of the CLU community will be present to provide education on the prevalence and impact of sexual violence, information on how to best support survivors, and tools you can use to best eradicate the world of sexual violence and all forms of violence against women!
