Nonprofit Leadership Council

As we begin 2019, having emerged from one of the most stressful times of year for nonprofit leaders, we have the opportunity to step back and reflect on how we are managing our jobs and our lives, and we can make adjustments that increase our quality of life as well as our impact. In this first gathering of the Nonprofit Leadership Council in 2019, we will learn about the importance of investing in our own vitality, identify practices that can enhance our lives, and talk together about how we can enhance personal and workplace well-being.

A signature program of the Center for Nonprofit Leadership, the Ventura County Nonprofit Leadership Council (the Council) is a collective of social sector leaders who seek to advance philanthropy and strengthen nonprofit leadership in our region.

Each year, the Council offers a series of five topic-driven convenings that serve as a forum for both seasoned and emerging nonprofit leaders to network with colleagues and peers, deepen understanding of important sector issues and develop a shared voice to influence and advocate on behalf of the sector.

The intended audience of the Council’s programs is both emerging and established nonprofit and civic leaders, regardless of position, rank or title. The programs are designed to attract and engage key sector leaders, influencers and decision makers who care deeply about improving the philanthropic sector serving our region. Intended audiences may shift in light of the program’s focus topic, but all are welcome to attend – individual philanthropists, board members, staff and volunteers.

Individuals can participate in the Council and attend all five sessions by becoming a Center for Nonprofit Leadership member or by attending individual sessions for $35 each.
