The Cal Lutheran Alumni Board of Directors Awards Program recognizes the outstanding achievements of California Lutheran University alumni. Nominations for awards in the five categories listed below are welcomed from all members and friends of the Cal Lutheran community.

Daniel Jordan
Career Achievement
Dan Jordan, a member of the Class of 1978, was posthumously granted the Career Achievement Award which was accepted by his parents, Pastor and Mrs. Phil Jordan of Fresno. Dan died August 26, 1988, in Fresno of valley fever and pneumonia.
Dan earned his B.S. degree from Cal Lutheran in business administration graduating summa cum laude.
Following graduation, he joined Brown Realtors of Thousand Oaks and received his realtor’s license and later his broker’s license. He was a member of the Million Dollar Circle of the National Association of Home Builders.
In 1981, he received his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California’s Entrepreneurship Program. While completing his coursework at USC, Dan met Theodore Barry, chairman of the Board of Theodore Barry and Associates. Barry asked Dan to assist him in establishing a new “group” company, TB&A Development Company. Dan spent the next two years developing and syndicating real property for clients, for market and for portfolio. During this time he was also mentor for twelve USC graduate students.
In 1984, Dan and Mark Eisen formed Jordan Eisen Industries, whose charter was to acquire real estate and to provide consultation, syndication and development. Their clients included Southwest Environments, Southwest Communities, California Dream Homes and National Auto Centres, Inc.
Mountain climbing was one of Dan’s hobbies, and his adventures included Half Dome, Mt. Whitney, the Matterhorn in Switzerland and Kalau Mountain Trail of Kauai. His travels took him to the Far East, Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and the Islands of the Mediterranean.
