Making a positive impact while remaining profitable
Benefit corporations are becoming increasingly popular. Living in a space somewhere between nonprofits and traditional business models, “B-Corps” are created so that business leaders are encouraged to look at the social impact of their decisions. Three experts on this new type of business will share experiences, knowledge, insight and advice.
Veterans are often already equipped with the skills necessary for success in entrepreneurship. They are leaders, problem solvers, calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly to changes in their environment. Two successful entrepreneurs will discuss some of the opportunities, challenges and benefits for veterans as they consider starting their own business.
Is There a Job in My Future?
The annual Forum creates opportunities for mentoring and builds relationships by pairing business and community leaders with CLU students, faculty and staff over dinner and in round-table discussions.

As part of the observance of “Day of the Dead,” a traditional altar will be erected outside the north entrance to the Swenson Center, and everyone is welcome to bring items to place on the altar in honor of their deceased loved ones.
