The William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art is proud to present Gotta Dance!, a special exhibition of vintage film posters from the collection of producer and award-winning design director Mike Kaplan.
My Life So Far
Tony Pro’s paintings show great versatility, ranging from quick alla prima landscapes to thoughtfully rendered larger scale works. A reception will be held at 7 p.m. on opening day.

Scandinavians in the Old West
Scandinavian immigrants and their descendants played big roles in the development of the West. This symposium looks into their contributions in areas ranging from civic engagement to the transport of lumber needed for cities such as Los Angeles. The public is invited to join in the spirit of a symposium, which blends music, dining and the free exchange of ideas to enhance the pleasure of learning. Scandinavians in the Old West opens Friday evening with a reception followed by lectures at 7 p.m. and continues all day Saturday, concluding with dinner and entertainment.

The popular actor speaker series in which theatre arts faculty member Markus Flanagan invites artist friends to share insight that can only gained by having "been there" continues with Alan Ruck.

Art Exhibition
For this exhibition, prominent female artists were asked to focus on women as subjects for their drawings and paintings. A reception will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
Soiland Recreation Center
The two-hour free event will celebrate the year of the wood horse (or green horse) with a traditional lion dance and gong fu (martial arts). Ming Ming Jiang, a world-renowned soprano from Beijing, will sing. Other performers include the Thousand Oaks Chinese Folk Ensemble, YangSheng Choir, in-Harmony Choir, Thousand Oaks Chinese School Dance Group and Thousand Oaks Tai Ji Group.
