Honors Day Convocation

California Lutheran University will recognize the hard work and achievement of many of its students during Honors Day Convocation. Brandie Murrish, head women's basketball coach at Sierra College, will give the keynote address. A 1998 graduate of CLU, Murrish will be presented the 2008 Outstanding Alumna Award by the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Students receiving special recognition at the Convocation will include winners of the Ledbetter Prize for Excellence in Writing, the Mark Van Doren Poetry Prize, and the Provost's Award for Academic Excellence along with Scholastic Honor Society inductees, SCIAC Scholar Athletes, members of the Dean's Honors list, those receiving departmental distinctions and others.
