KCLU presents Tom Ashbrook
Host of NPR's On Point
Tom Ashbrook, the award-winning host of NPR’s On Point, is coming to town to help celebrate KCLU’s 15th Anniversary! The show will kick off a year of events commemorating KCLU’s 15 years as your hometown station.
In his usual insightful manner, Ashbrook will speak with a variety of guests live on stage. This is the first time he has appeared in Southern California and, as the first station on the West Coast to carry On Point, KCLU is honored to host this special evening.
Ashbrook’s career in journalism spans 20 years as a foreign correspondent, newspaper editor and author. He spent 10 years in Asia – based in India, Hong Kong and Japan – starting at the South China Morning Post, then working as a correspondent for The Boston Globe. He is now heard by millions of NPR listeners across the country.
On Point, heard weekdays from 9 to 11 a.m. on KCLU, unites distinct and provocative voices with passionate discussion as it confronts the stories that are at the center of what is important in the world today.
Tickets are $15-$40, plus any applicable facility and service charges, and are available at the Civic Arts Plaza box office or through Ticketmaster. KCLU, 88.3 FM in Ventura County and 102.3 FM/1340 AM in Santa Barbara County, is a service of California Lutheran University.
