King of The Counties Grappling Event for Charity

Ventura County and Los Angeles County Law Enforcement Battle For Fallen Officers

King of The Counties Grappling Event for Charity

The Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA) will host a police grappling duel between police officers from Los Angeles County and Ventura County in the "King of the Counties" grappling event. The proceeds from this event will benefit fallen officers through the Professional Peace Officers Charitable Foundation, a 501c3 organization.

Officers from various agencies will hang up their guns and batons and compete in hand to hand combat in an exciting grappling duel. This event is similar to grappling seen in the octagon at popular Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights, minus the punching and kicking. Although this is a serious competition, there will be lots of entertainment, including music, smoke machines, lights and cheering for your favorite fighter.

“PPOA is happy to get the community involved with an entertaining event that not only showcases the skills and competitive spirit of our police officers but also goes toward supporting the families of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice,” said PPOA President, Brian Moriguchi.

Through their Professional Peace Officers Charitable Foundation (PPOCF), a 501c3 organization, the PPOA donates funds to various charitable causes, including families of peace officers killed in the line of duty, children charities and members in need. All of the proceeds from this event will go to the PPOCF earmarked specifically for families of fallen officers.
