Fundraiser For Small Fortunes

The Action Abroad Alliance (AAA), CLU's international volunteering student club, will hold its "Fundraiser for Small Fortunes" to generate awareness about the promising poverty-relief strategy of microfinance through the PBS documentary "Small Fortunes." The evening will include a catered dinner and club presentation on student involvement with microfinance here at CLU.

All donations given will go toward the Alliance's current project of raising $2,000 for microlending to poor female entrepreneurs in Uganda. The AAA invites all students, professors and community members who are interested in learning more about and addressing global poverty to attend. Admission is free. A raffle with more than $200 in prizes will be held.
