AIDS Memorial Quilt
The AIDS Memorial Quilt includes more than 40,000 panels that memorializes a life lost to AIDS. Each block is about 12 ft. square and has eight panels lovingly created to symbolize the person's life. There are more than 90,000 names on the quilt, representing only about 17.5 percent of all deaths due to AIDS in the U.S. The quilt has raised more than $4,000,000 for direct services to people with AIDS since its creation. People are welcome to view a portion of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in the narthex of Samuelson Chapel whenever the chapel is open.
