Entrepreneur Roundtable January 21st Meeting
Marlene Cooper Williams / Heritage Home Conservatory
Music calms the savage beast, right? What does it do to an entrepreneur like you? Do you play music? Do you appreciate music? This month meet Marlene Cooper Williams, founder and principal of Heritage Home Conservatory (http://www.heritagehomeconservatory.com/). Networking begins at 9:30 a.m. Marlene’s presentation begins at 10 and ends at 11 with time for Q&A.
Bringing the down-home charm and the infamous “call a spade a spade” Midwestern style (popularized by Garrison Keillor’s radio show Prairie Home Companion) to California in 1976, Marlene opened Con Tempo Music Guild in Sherman Oaks with her teachers providing private music instruction for students of all instruments and voice, both at the school and in the student’s homes. Over the years her expansion included a teaching corps in 26 cities nationwide sourcing lessons via hundreds of teachers to thousands of students.
Marlene's latest business is Heritage Home Conservatory which is locally run in the Conejo Valley. This organization is community based, instructing private students of all instruments and voice at home and through public music programs. In development currently are programs including the use of Internet technology to reach people otherwise unable to take lessons in person and a new after-school music program in the Simi Valley Unified School District as well as a music therapy program to work with children and adults with special needs.
Please RSVP. If you know others who will benefit from this presentation or the Entrepreneur Roundtable network, please pass this message along to them. Remember to Like us on Facebook, too!
