Groves is a postdoctoral research scientist in the molecular neurodegeneration and gene therapy lab at the University of Oxford. He has nine years of experience in genetics, molecular biology and behavioral research into brain function and disease, including two years working for the pharmaceutical industry.

He earned an undergraduate master’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Nottingham, a master’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Oxford and a doctorate in experimental psychology from The Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford.
