Symphonic Romance

The University Symphony explores romantic opera and ballet music with selections from the Italian, Russian and French repertory including Verdi’s overture to the opera La Forza del Destino, the ballet suite from Faure’s Pelléas et Mélisande, the adagio from Khachaturian’s ballet Spartacus and the Rákóczy March by Berlioz. Daniel Geeting conducts.
