Women's Health & Safety Event
Empowered: Take charge of your health and safety
The Thousand Oaks Police Department in partnership with CLU is presenting a free, daylong women’s health and safety event. The goal of this event is to raise awareness and educate women on the dangers of dating violence and sexual assault. Through a number of dynamic speakers, the forum will focus on ways for young women to take charge of their personal safety and well-being as well as their health, nutrition and self-esteem.

- Robert Ferguson - Certified nutritionist and celebrity fitness expert
- Hannah Grossman, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer, Los Robles Hospital
- Margaret Allan, Psy.D. - Clinical supervisor, CLU
- Dan Knauss, M.S., and Jenna Knauss, M.S., LMFT - Verizon Intimate Partner Violence Intervention Program, CLU
The event will also host resource tables featuring a number of community organizations. There will be giveaways and door prizes. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
