"Gotta Dance!" Exhibition Opening Reception

While the motion picture is recognized as the most influential art form of the 20th century, the movie poster has seldom received the recognition it deserves, viewed mainly as a sidebar of popular culture.

This exhibition, which runs from Nov. 15 through Feb. 8, focuses on the film poster as a unique, under-appreciated art form and underlines the diversity in which dance and dancing have been used as a dominant image in both musical and non-musical films.

Admission is free. The gallery, located adjacent to the William Rolland Stadium, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
