Tea and Talk With Collector Mike Kaplan

Film producer, poster design director and collector Mike Kaplan will discuss the vintage movie posters on display in Gotta Dance!

In his career as a producer (The Whales of August, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead), director and distributor, Kaplan has collaborated on poster campaigns with artists including David Hockney, Don Bachardy, Allen Jones, John Van Hamersveld, and André Carrilho. He frequently worked with British airbrush artist Philip Castle, including on a poster for Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange that was voted the All-Time Best Film Poster by patrons of England’s Odeon Cinema Circuit.

Following the presentation, guests will be invited to join a guided tour of the exhibit and refreshments will be served. Admission is free, no reservations required.
