'Red Cliff' (China)

Red Cliff is an epic historical drama directed by legendary action-cinema master John Woo and starring international superstar Tony Leung.

In the final days of the Han Dynasty, 208 A.D., the shrewd Prime Minster Cao Cao convinces the fickle emperor to declare war in a bid to unite all of China. Thus begins a military campaign of unprecedented scale. Left with no other hope for survival, two southern kingdoms form an unlikely alliance. A series of military engagements on land and on water eventually culminates in the battle of Red Cliff, where two thousand ships were burned and the course of Chinese history changed.

Admission is free. The International Film Festival is organized by the Department of Languages and Cultures with the generous support of the CLU Community Leaders Association and the Center for Equality and Justice.

Muvico Thousand Oaks 14 is located at 166 W. Hillcrest Drive.
