Women by Women
Art Exhibition
As artists, what do women make of women? For this exhibition, prominent female artists were asked to focus only on women as subjects for their drawings and paintings.
Exhibiting artists include Pam Hawkes, Sadie Valeri, Terry Spehar-Fahey, Kathiucia Dias, Ruth Weisberg, Betty Shelton, Teresa Oaxaca, Kate Savage, Juliette Aristides, Kathryn Jacobi, Candice Bohannon, Sharon Allicotti, Carolin Peters and others. Valeri is a founder of the activist group Women Painting Women.
A reception will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
Admission is free. The Kwan Fong Gallery, located in Soiland Humanities Center, is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Street parking is by permit only Monday through Friday. Visitor parking is available in the lots at Mountclef Boulevard and Olsen Road.
