Candlemas

As Mary went to the temple to purify and ready herself for the challenges of raising her Son, Candlemas offers an opportunity to stop and reflect at the dawning of a new year for our own challenges ahead.

Come join in a celebration of Candlemas. This celebration begins with a free open dinner featuring home cooking for all faculty, staff and students. The celebration continues with a Reconciliation Prayer Service, where all are given an opportunity for reflection on our faults and a blessing of candles to be given to the participants. The evening will end with the Sacrament of Reconciliation open for all those able to receive the sacrament. The Catholic seminarians from St. John's Seminary will be present as will priests from Saint Rose of Lima Church.
