2017 CRLP Summer Literacy Conference

Our 2017 Keynote Speaker is Donalyn Miller, renowned author of The Book Whisperer and Reading in the Wild. Her keynote on Voice and Choice: Fostering Student Reading Ownership will address how teachers can increase readers’ engagement and effort in what they read through relevant research, and classroom examples and strategies to support young readers as they grow into lifelong readers. She will also present a workshop titled Dead Presidents and Whales: Engaging Students with Nonfiction Text.
