Thousand Oaks Reads: One City One Book, A conversation with Robert Kurson

'Rocket Men: The Daring Odyssey of Apollo 8 and the Astronauts Who Made Man's First Journey to the Moon'

Thousand Oaks Reads: One City One Book, A conversation with Robert Kurson

New York Times bestselling author Robert Kurson talks about the incredibly dangerous flight of the Apollo 8 mission in a conversation with Cal Lutheran President Chris Kimball. Against a backdrop of political and social unrest in 1968, the dedicated men and women of NASA are miracle workers who beat impossible odds to get the spacecraft successfully in the air, and around the moon, in four months.

Admission is free but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Grant R. Brimhall Library and the Newbury Park Library starting in mid-March.
