One County, One Book: Cal Lutheran Faculty Panel Discussion

University faculty and staff members discuss the themes of Susan Orlean’s The Library Book and the true inside story of the 1986 fire that burned 400,000 books and damaged 700,000 more at the Los Angeles Public Library. Panelists explore both the enduring importance of books in our digital age and how libraries provide much more than books.

Admission is free. Copies of The Library Book are available at the library branches, though it isn’t necessary to read the book to enjoy the discussion.
