Día de los Muertos Social Justice Altars

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday in Mexico and other countries commemorating the lives of deceased family members and friends. University students from various classes and organizations will construct altars to commemorate a social justice issue. Altars will be set up in the Student Union for nine days, coinciding with festivities across campus.

Admission is free. Sponsored by the Sarah W. Heath Center for Equality and Justice, Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion, University Honors Program, Sociology Department and Latin American Student Organization.
