'The Two Gentlemen of Verona'

24th Annual Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival

One of Shakespeare’s early comedies, The Two Gentlemen of Verona satirizes youthful love with all of its excesses, betrayals and heartache. The play uses many of the comic devices found elsewhere in Shakespeare — a woman disguising herself as a man, an outlaw band in the forest, mistaken identity, and the outrageous actions of comic servants — all to entertain and delight.

General admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 62 and over and active military, $15 for students 18 and over with ID, and free for children. Reserved lawn boxes are $90 to $110. A lawn box accommodates four to six, and only one ticket is required per box. Online ticketing is available for both lawn boxes and general admission. Parking is available in the lot off Mountclef Boulevard just south of Olsen Road.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is the professional theater company of Cal Lutheran. The nonprofit organization employs professional actors, coordinates apprentice programs for professional and aspiring Shakespearean actors, offers an educational tour for local schools in the spring, and provides summer theater camps for youth.
