National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
Community Forum on Hunger and Poverty
Each year, one week before Thanksgiving, the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness co-sponsor National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. During this week, a number of schools, communities and cities take part in a nationwide effort to bring greater awareness to the problems of hunger and homelessness.
CLU staff and community volunteers will come together to draw attention to the growing number of those affected by hunger and homelessness as well as those individuals who are struggling to make ends meet in the face of food insecurity and the lack of affordable housing.
Admission is free.
This local event for National Homeless and Hunger Awareness Week is co-sponsored by MANNA Food Pantry of the Conejo Valley, Catholic Charities, California Lutheran University Office of Campus Ministry, Food Share of Ventura County, the Ventura County Homeless and Housing Coalition and Lutheran Social Services.
