This presentation focuses on the impact of hate crimes as message crimes on targeted populations, especially Asian Americans.
Helen Ahn Lim earned her undergraduate degree in Social Ecology from University of California, Irvine and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Lim has held teaching positions at Indiana University, Bloomington and Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. Her current research focuses on service-learning. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Criminal Justice Department, and was the former Director of the Center for Academic Service-Learning.
