2024-25 FAFSA Processing Updates & Aid Offer Timeline
Update from the U.S. Department of Education
- Schools are now receiving 2024-25 FAFSA's.
- The ability to make FAFSA corrections online or add schools to your 2024-25 FAFSA will not be available until mid-April.
- Additional flexibility has been given to students by significantly reducing verification requirements for the 2024-25 FAFSA.
What to Expect After Completing Your 2024-25 FAFSA
- You will receive an email from the FAFSA processing center informing you that your
FAFSA form has been fully processed, sent to the schools you listed, and that your
FAFSA Submission Summary is now available on StudentAid.gov.
- If you do not receive an email confirmation, log in to your FAFSA and review which status your FAFSA application is in and take action as necessary.
- If you filed a paper FAFSA, processing may take 2-3 additional weeks.
- Once Cal Lutheran receives your FAFSA and is able to process it, you will receive an email confirmation from Cal Lutheran that your FAFSA has been received.
Official Financial Aid Offer Timeline
- Newly Admitted First Year & Transfer Students
- Financial Aid Offers - Cal Lutheran now anticipates that financial aid offers for incoming admitted students will be released in late April.
- Enrollment Deposit Deadline - Please know that we will be flexible in working with you to ensure you have adequate time to consider your financial aid offer and make an informed decision on committing to Cal Lutheran next Fall.
- Continuing Students
- Financial Aid Offers - Cal Lutheran does not anticipate a delay in receiving your financial aid offers. Expected release of aid offers for continuing students is early June.
