Recent Announcements
  • April 18, 2024: Cal Lutheran has began sending Aid Offer notifications to students with a FAFSA that were not affected by the Department of Education's known tax data & FAFSA Processing Systems issues.

  • April 18, 2024: The Department of Education has posted a recorded webinar in Spanish that outlines the process to complete and submit the 2024–25 FAFSA form.
  • April 17, 2024: The Department of Education (DOE) identified errors related to known issues within the FAFSA Processing System in 10% of 2024-25 FAFSA's filed. Reprocessing of these FAFSA's by the DOE will begin the week of April 22. Reprocessed FAFSA's will start being sent to Cal Lutheran by May 1.
  • April 16, 2024: The Department of Education (DOE) announced that it identified errors related to inconsistent tax data in 20% of 2024-25 FAFSA's filed. Reprocessing of these FAFSA's by DOE will begin May 1st.
  • April 15, 2024: 2024-25 FAFSA corrections are now available for students and contributors. Please allow 3-5 business days for your corrected FAFSA to be sent to Cal Lutheran.
  • April 4, 2024: Please view Updated instructions  on how to submit the 2024-25 FAFSA for Individuals without Social Security Numbers.
  • April 1, 2024: Review our updated aid offer & FAFSA processing timeline.
  • March 28, 2024: The 2024-25 FAFSA & CADAA priority deadline extended to May 2, 2024.
  • Jan. 1, 2024: The 2024-25 FAFSA is now available. Visit our 2024-25 FAFSA Information page for details regarding the FAFSA Simplification Act and helpful tips on completing your FAFSA.

What to Expect After Completing Your 2024-25 FAFSA

  • Please allow 3-5 business days for your FAFSA to be transferred to Cal Lutheran.
  • You will receive an email confirmation from Cal Lutheran that your FAFSA has been received.
    • If more than 3-5 business days have passed, feel free to contact our office for a status update.
  • After your FAFSA has been received, review your checklist on myCLU self-service and verify that you do not have any missing verification items available to complete.

Official Financial Aid Offer Timeline

  • Newly Admitted First Year & Transfer Students
    • Cal Lutheran has begun releasing aid offers for new admits. Additional aid offers will be sent as new, corrected and reprocessed 2024-25 FAFSA's are received and processed.
    • The Enrollment Deposit Deadline is May 15th. Please know that we will be flexible in working with you to ensure you have adequate time to consider your financial aid offer and make an informed decision on committing to Cal Lutheran next Fall.

  • Continuing Students
    • Financial Aid Offers - Cal Lutheran does not anticipate a delay in receiving your financial aid offers. Expected release of aid offers for continuing students is early June.
