Week 6 Topic: Interviewing

Students will be placed with a volunteer(s) at a designated table based on their future career preference (marketing, IT, finance, etc.) and will be asked to participate in a role play exercise for an imaginary position at University Village Thousand Oaks. Students will be provided with information (a “help wanted” ad) for the given position (IT Manager – University Village, etc.) and will have an opportunity to practice their interviewing skills - from introducing themselves and handing the “interviewer” their business card (blank cards will be provided), to answering questions about their background and future career aspirations. Volunteers will provide students with suggestions and feedback on how to improve their interviewing skills.
