Cal Lutheran Hosts The CFO Executive Summit
On November 16, The School of Management had the opportunity to host a premier event in the Southern California business community: The CFO Executive Summit. The CFO Executive Summit is an invitation-only event series for CFOs nationwide. Considering that hosting universities included, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern in Chicago and the Stern School of Business at NYU in New York, it was quite an honor to host this event. The School of Management would like to thank Brian Jemelian (CFO, Yamaha of America) and Kevin Manion (until recently, CFO of Young's Market) who are both on our Dean's Executive Council for their advocacy.
Dean Gerhard Apfelthaler was able to address approximately 150 CFOs of the largest companies in Southern California, faculty member Veronica Guerrero moderated a panel on millennials in the workplace, and staff members Emily Yamamoto and Pauline Pitman hosted an information booth. The all-day event in downtown Los Angeles was a great way to extend our geographical reach and to expand our network.
