Update from the School of Management
As mentioned, the School of Management family has been growing - we have added new faculty members and, most importantly, new students have joined. At the end of August, we welcomed close to 100 new domestic graduate students - the largest group in several years - as well as 33 new international graduate students from a variety of countries. As part of the university's record intake of new students, the School of Management also added more than 120 freshmen and around 60 transfer students. We are especially proud to report recent honors that members of our faculty and administration have received. Jamshid Damooei (Program Director of our undergraduate Economics program and Director of our Center for the Economics of Social Issues) is the recipient of the 2018 Provost's Distinguished Scholar Award, and Greg Monterrosa (Community Manager, Hub101) was honored with the 2018 Pacific Coast Business Times Latino Business Award. In the last few months, we also celebrated our global alumni at events in Austria and Taiwan.
