Students create mini exhibit on oceans
Arts Management and Museology class took on project

Photo: Danielle Nguyen(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – April 4, 2017) A small interactive exhibit created by California Lutheran University students to educate people on the state of the world’s oceans will be on display April 22 through May 13.
“Plastic Oceans: A Sad Reality” will be exhibited in the alcove of the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art on the Thousand Oaks campus.
In just a few short centuries, human achievement and industrial advancement have brought our world into an unprecedented technological landscape. But what have these accomplishments cost the largest ecosystem on our planet? This exhibition provides a snapshot of the current state of some of the world’s oceans.
Complete with model fish and an interactive station, the exhibit is perfect for families and is educational for all age groups.
Students in the university’s Arts Management and Museology class curated the exhibit. They are Danielle Nguyen from Chatsworth, Hannah Long from Albany, Dillon Lutza from Valencia and Michaela Bunker from Sacramento.
Entrance to the gallery is free.
The gallery is located in William Rolland Stadium, which is north of Olsen Road near Mountclef Boulevard on the Thousand Oaks campus.
It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
