AMTE to Present Musical Theatre Review

CLU's American Musical Theatre Ensemble (AMTE) will present "I'm in Love with Musical Theatre," a musical theatre review, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Preus–Brandt Forum. The fun–filled performance showcases musical theatre straight from the heart of Broadway. Directed by Diann Alexander, the show features 11 drama and music students from CLU.

AMTE is the performing arm of the CLU Musical Theatre Workshop, which was founded by Dick DeBenedictis, a composer and 10–time Emmy nominee for television music. In his weekly workshop, DeBenedictis teaches CLU students how to breathe comedy and drama into their musical performances. Started in 1997, AMTE has evolved into an "honors" group for the multi–talented students at CLU.

General admission is $8. For more information, call the Drama Department at (805) 493–3415.
