CLU ensemble presents outdoor concert

(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - April 13, 2012) The California Lutheran University Wind Ensemble will present "An American Celebration" at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in Conejo Community Park.

Michael D. Hart will direct the 50-member Wind Ensemble performing patriotic compositions, folk songs, marches and works by American composers. The program will include a tribute to firefighters, police, military personnel, teachers, nonprofit employees and others who serve the community and make it a great place to live and work.

CLU's Music Department and Community Leaders Association are sponsoring the free concert.

Conejo Community Park is located at Dover Street and Hendrix Avenue in Thousand Oaks. Bring blankets or low chairs for lawn seating.
