Wright continues to lead the first-place Regals basketball team. In a win over Whittier on Thursday the Los Angeles, Calif. native recorded a monster 17-point, 17-rebound double-double by shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and going 8-for-9 at the charity stripe. Wright was 9-for-12 at the line and was responsible for breaking a 47-47 tie with 1:59 remaining in regulation with a free-throw. She would hit two more at the 1:22 mark as CLU held on for the win and the season sweep of the Tigers.
Cal Lutheran (19-3, 11-2 SCIAC) maintains possession of the top spot in the league as the teams enter the final two weeks of regular season play.

She becomes the first three-time recipient this year, joining Kylie McLogan (Aug. 31-Sept.9 and Oct. 24-Nov. 4) and Zach Shultis (Oct. 15-21). Previously, Wright was named the SCIAC AOW for her performance between Dec. 17 and Jan 1, 2013 and again Jan. 7-13.
