LA MIRADA, Calif. – The second day of the 2013 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Redlands at Splash! La Mirada was similar to day one with Sheyenne Machida earning a top-three finish for Cal Lutheran.

Just as she did yesterday, Machidaadded to the Regals point total by placing third on the one-meter diving boards as she earned a 365.40 on her 11-dive list. Completing the diving sweep and earning the 2013 SCIAC title in the event was Jessica Robson (412.85) from Occidental while second place went to Carmen Lundell (411.15) from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

In the championship final of the 400 Individual Medley (IM), defending SCIAC champion Mimi Harbach dropped to fourth place with a time of 4:36.50 after the sophomore qualified for the final as the number two seed, swimming a 4:36.21 this morning.

One day after making her first championship final appearance in the 200 IM, Katie Kochalko earned a trip to the consolation final of the 100 butterfly, nearly breaking a minute with a time of 1:00.11. She inched closer to that in the finals, going a 1:00.09 for 12th place, three spots higher than her seeding.

An early start disqualified the 200 Medley Relay team in the opening event of the evening.
