Announcements for the week of November 12, 2018

Announcements for the week of November 12

In light of the tragic events of the past several days, there may be changes to the information below. We will keep you posted on any changes with updates. As we continue to deal with the aftermath, we are sensitive that there are many needs of our students, faculty and staff. Please emailacaffairs@callutheran.edu if you need to cancel class (so we can ensure that students are notified), or if you have any other needs.

We have been talking with several faculty who feel unprepared to talk with students who are still reeling from recent events, while others are anxious to get in the classroom with students. To support all faculty needs in this regard, we have created a google document where faculty can 1) request a faculty peer to attend class(es) with them, 2) request a mental health professional accompany them to class(es), 3) volunteer to serve as a peer in another faculty member’s class(es). All faculty can access the document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_cek_8BwsZceOWFomTjwrC-SOnUaB83NX4XpV5LRlI4/edit?usp=sharing Someone will be in touch with all of the faculty that sign up regarding details.
