  • CLU 48 Hour Film Jam! Mon., Apr. 8, 7:30pm, AMC Movie Theatre at the Oaks Mall. Screening of the films shot by Multimedia students during the Spring 48 Hour Film Jam. Admission is free, but tickets are limited. Click here for tickets.
     
  • Reel Justice Film Series presents: A Place at the Table, Tues., Apr. 9, 7pm, Lundring Events Center. A panel discussion will follow with Sam Thomas (Religion) and Rev. Nicole Janelle of The Abundant Table.
     
  • Staff and Faculty Lunch, Wed., Apr. 10, 11am - 1pm, reserved area in the UPSTAIRS Ullman Dining Commons. The discounted price of $8 + tax includes all menu options offered in the Dining Commons.

  • Have you published a book or illustrated a work during the past year that will be published by April 30, 2019? Please let us know by Thurs., April 11 so that we can recognize you at the Provost’s Reception for faculty authors and grant recipients during Festival of Scholars.  ALSO, save the date for the Provost’s Reception, which will be held Tues., April 30, at 5 pm in the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art. Please email Roni Hooper at rhooper@callutheran.edu with a brief synopsis of your published book or illustrated work and the date of publication. If you have a photo file of your book cover, please forward that as well.

  • Don’t Cancel That Class – The Division of Student Affairs is pleased to offer Don’t Cancel That Class to faculty members who may be away for conference travel, meetings, etc.  You may request a Student Affairs staff member to present on a particular topic (e.g., job interview skills, dealing with test anxiety, financial literacy, etc.) or welcome them to present on the topic of their choice.  To make arrangements for an upcoming class, please contact Senior Coordinator for Residence Life and Student Conduct, Caitlin Hodges at hodges@callutheran.edu.

  • Honors Convocation, Tues., Apr. 30, 11:15am, Samuelson Chapel.  We will be on Convocation Schedule with classes ending at 11:00am and resuming at 12:40pm. Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, Dr. Tracy M. Downs '88, will give the keynote address (click here to view bio), faculty receiving promotion and/or tenure in Fall 2019 will be recognized, and the President's Award for Teaching Excellence recipient will be announced. Please note: In order to highlight the importance of our faculty at this prestigious academic event, regalia will be worn and faculty will meet at Gumby at 11:00am to process.

  • Grant writing workshops - The Office of Sponsored Research and Projects is presenting a grant writing series for faculty and staff. The next workshop is titled "Cha-Ching!
