  • Full-time Faculty - Please complete your Faculty Annual Report, so that we may include this information in the "At the Leading Edge" Faculty Accomplishments publication. The online form can be found on the Academic Affairs Website under Faculty Governance or click here. PLEASE NOTE: We recommend that you put your information in a Word document and cut/paste it into the online form.  While most faculty have been able to submit the form successfully, IT is looking into some instances where the information has not saved. If you have any difficulty submitting, please email your information in a Word document to acaffairs@callutheran.edu.

  • University Chapel, Thurs., June 6, 11:25am Samuelson Chapel. Rev. Hazel Salazar Davidson will be speaking.
     
  • Free Spanish Lessons - A Spanish for University Professionals class will be offered this summer for faculty and staff, with two sessions for introductory and intermediate levels. At lease one year of high school Spanish is recommended. This non-credit course is free and does not require any text materials. Limited availability. Click hereto register.
    • Session 1 - June 10-26 (M-Th), Hum 116, Introductory 3:15-4:30pm, Intermediate: 1:45-3pm.
    • Session 2 - July 8-24 (M-Th), Swen 119, Introductory 1:45-3pm, Intermediate 3:15-4:30pm.
       
  • Call for August Faculty Retreat Breakout Sessions - If you have suggestions for Faculty Retreat Breakout Session topics you would be interested in leading or attending, please contact FEC Chair Michael Gagliardo at mgagliar@callutheran.edu by Mon., June 10.
     
  • Full-time Faculty - Please submit your 2019-20 Committee preferences on the Faculty Governance Blackboard.
     
  • Faculty Night at the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, Fri., July 19, Opening night of Richard II, directed by Michael Arndt (Theatre Arts). Faculty members and a guest will be admitted free - children under 18 are always free at the Festival. Festival grounds open at 5:30pm, show begins at 8pm. Drinks and snacks will be served. Bring a low profile, low back lawn chair or blanket and warm outerwear for cool evenings. RSVP to Academic Affairs at acaffairs@callutheran.edu by July 15.
     
  • Grant Writing Lab (2-day intensive) - The Office of Sponsored Research and Projects is presenting a grant writing lab for faculty and staff on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 26 & 27, 8:30am to 12:30pm, in Hum. 116. We will help you fine-tune your idea for a grant proposal for your program, project or research. To participate in the lab, you must submit a 2-page concept paper by Aug. 13 (detailed instructions provided upon signing up). Click here to register.   • Discount on Tickets to ‘Titanic Live’ – Cal Lutheran students, faculty and staff will receive a 20% discount on tickets for “Titanic Live” performed by New West Symphony under the stars on Sat., June 22, at 7:30 p.m. Making its West Coast premiere, “Titanic Live” features the Academy Award-winning film Titanic shown on the giant custom LED screen in William Rolland Stadium. The iconic score, composed by the late James Horner, is performed live by 130 musicians and singers. Presented by the New West Symphony Association in partnership with CSUN/The Soraya and California Lutheran University, “Titanic Live” marks the inaugural summer outdoor concert of the New West Symphony. Tickets can be purchased through https://newwestsymphony.org/titanic-live using the discount code “CLU.”
