Announcements

  • Financial Planning Workshop: Please send an email to thecollege@callutheran.edu to express your interest in attending a financial planning workshop this summer.  If there is sufficient interest, it would be taught by an external expert with an eye towards first-time investors and folks wanting to think about retirement planning.  Please send your email before June 29, 2020.

  • Virtual Shakespeare Summer Camps -  The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is offering seven virtual summer camps for students from ages 4 to adult beginning in late June, throughout the summer. As in the past, they are offering the camps at half price to all Cal Lutheran staff and faculty families. Click here for more information. Please contact Elizabeth Wold, ewold@callutheran.edu for registration.

  • International Student Resources - The Cal Lutheran international student community received direct communication from the Office of International Students and Scholars that, if facing financial crisis associated with the COVID-19 crisis, international students should outreach to the OISS at international@callutheran.edu. While not eligible for the government’s COVID-19 student relief funds, through the Cal Lutheran CARES DAY initiative, some limited funds have been identified to support the international students who are facing economic hardship. If you are engaging with international students, please remind them to always read the OISS Weekly Update for important details about support initiatives and direct them to contact OISS at international@callutheran.edu with questions. Additionally, remind them that Campus Ministry offers support through the Community Cupboard which is still providing food resources during the summer.
