Digital Learning Department Faculty Training: The Digital Learning Department is hosting Zoom Training Webinars through Fri., July 31, to prepare faculty for Fall 2020. The training webinars offer pedagogical practices and techniques that enhance teaching and learning through the effective use of educational technology tools.   • ASU Remote Summit Conference on Virtual Learning: "Join faculty colleagues, thought and practice leaders from universities and colleges worldwide to discover their perspective on pedagogy, blended learning, and how to deliver engaging and effective experiences for students." Participants have to register before the sessions to get access.   • Faculty Development Session: Drs. Andrea Huvard, Colleen Windham-Hughes, Michael Brint and Andrea Sell will be hosting a session titled Summer 1 Virtual Teaching Discussion. What has worked so far, what has not worked, and what we still need to figure out, Tues., July 14, 3-4pm.  In this Zoom session, we will hear from several faculty who taught fully virtual this Summer Session 1. We will talk about some “best practice” take-aways from the first summer term, and we will leave plenty of time for questions and discussion.  This session will be useful for anyone teaching or planning to teach an upcoming class virtually.   • Fall Student Workers: Student workers and graduate assistants will be employed in the fall if they can do their work virtually. Department Assistants will be employed to tutor, as long as they are tutoring virtually. If you need to have a student employee work in person on campus, your request will have to be approved by sending an email to acaffairs@callutheran.edu with the name of the student, the work they are needed to do on campus, and the supervisor for the position.
     
  • Virtual Shakespeare Summer Camps -  The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is offering seven virtual summer camps for students from ages 4 to adult beginning in late June, throughout the summer. As in the past, they are offering the camps at half price to all Cal Lutheran staff and faculty families. Click here for more information.
