WASC Special Visit: This week we are hosting a remote visit with our accrediting agency, the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). This visit occurs at the mid-point of our 10-year re-accreditation, and is focused on the recommendations from the last visit. A number of faculty, staff, and students are scheduled to meet with the team of visitors. The campus community is welcome to review the materials that were submitted to WASC in preparation for this visit. These materials can be found at https://www.callutheran.edu/offices/institutional-research/wasc-visit-2020/ There is a Zoom meeting open for any faculty to attend on Fri., Dec. 4, at 1:00-1:45 pm. The entire campus community is also welcome to attend the exit meeting at the conclusion of the visit on Friday, Dec. 4, at 4 pm. The exit meeting often lasts just 10-15 minutes. Zoom links for these meetings will be sent by email to the campus community. New Training Sessions for Faculty: The Digital Learning Department will be offering on campus and online (via Zoom) training for faculty starting Mon., Nov. 30 through Fri., Jan. 15. Click here for more information and to RSVP. The trainings include:

- CTL Weekly Virtual Lunch Series, Thurs., Dec. 3, 12:15-1:00pm. The goal of the Virtual Lunch Series is to bring faculty together to collaborate and share pedagogy successes while teaching remotely. This is a space for you to bring your story, share your teaching creativity and get suggestions/recommendations from colleagues. - Traditional undergraduate Fall 20 grades are due Fri., Dec. 11 at noon.
- Graduate semester programs and PLTS grades are are due Mon., Jan. 4 at 8 am.
- Save the Date: 2021 Winter Faculty Retreat, Tues., Jan.19, 9am-12pm, via Zoom. All full-time and part-time faculty welcome! The Faculty Assembly meeting will be held following the retreat from 1-2:30pm.
- Save the Date: The Office of Sponsored Research and Projects is presenting a grant writing series for faculty and staff. The next workshop is titled Step One: Designing the Project. - IRB Reminder - There will be no IRB Committee activity during Winter Break, Dec. 24, 2020 through Jan. 1, 2021. Regular committee activity will resume on Mon., Jan. 4, 2021.
- Minutes from Nov. 3 Faculty Q&A Session: If you were unable to attend the last Faculty Q&A session, you can review the information here.
- Card swipe: All faculty and staff now have card swipe access to all buildings on campus. You will still need to complete the daily health check form before coming to campus each day.
- All faculty are invited to submit items of request or concern to the Senate via the Petition Response Chart on the Faculty Senate & Assembly Blackboard page. (Adjunct Faculty see the Adjunct Faculty Connect Blackboard page.) These forms are anonymous unless you self identify.
