  • Fifty and Better Students Want You! The Fifty and Better (FAB) students want to learn from Cal Lutheran faculty! FAB was designed for individuals 50 years of age and older (most are in their 70s & 80s) who are interested in taking university-level courses and lectures without the pressure of grades (no tests & no homework)!  The majority of FAB courses and lectures are offered virtually, via Zoom. FAB offers 4-week and 6-week course sessions, individual 2-hour lectures, and 2-part lectures (meeting on two different days for a total of 4 hours). If a 4-week or 6-week course seems daunting, give a lecture instead! Compensation is $200 per individual lecture and $400 for a 2-part lecture. FAB now offers lectures year-round, and is currently planning for January-August, 2023. The format is straight lecture with a PowerPoint. FAB students ask questions via the chat box. Click here to submit a proposal.  Questions?  Contact Dr. Lisa Buono (x3663) or FAB’s Program Specialist, Christina Tierney (x3290).
