The total tuition you pay as a student will depend on how many credits you transfer to your Cal Lutheran bachelor\u2019s degree program. You can find out more on our transfer credits page<\/a>. Graduate and Professionals Student Council activity fee<\/th>\n$32, one-time fee applies to all new graduate and professional students<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Financial Aid<\/h2>\n

Our aim is to support your professional aspirations by making the financial side of your education as straightforward and manageable as we can. With that in mind, Cal Lutheran offers a variety of funding options from internal and external sources.<\/p>\n

First thing\u2019s first: file your FAFSA<\/h3>\n

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/a> is the federal financial aid application that must be completed by anyone seeking federal or state financial assistance from an educational institution in the U.S. Our FAFSA school code is 001133<\/strong>. This form must be submitted each academic year.<\/p>\n

Grants and other assistance<\/h3>\n

PACE Promise<\/h4>\n

Students who graduated from a Program for Accelerated College Education (PACE) program at a partner California community college are eligible to receive a $100 per credit tuition reduction. Students must enroll full-time to receive this reduction.<\/span> This award cannot be combined with the Employer Discount. <\/p>\n

Veterans Benefits<\/h4>\n

Cal Lutheran is a Yellow Ribbon University<\/a>. Students who may be eligible for veteran\u2019s benefits should contact their local Veterans Affairs Office or contact Cal Lutheran\u2019s Office of Veteran Resources<\/a> for specific information.<\/p>\n

Employer Tuition Assistance Programs<\/h4>\n

Many companies offer tuition assistance to employees who participate in work-related or degree-oriented college programs. We provide a deferred payment option (up to six weeks after the end of the term) for students who take advantage of their company\u2019s tuition reimbursement opportunities.<\/p>\n

Employer Discount<\/h4>\n

Cal Lutheran has partnered with local organizations<\/a> to offer a discount to their employees. If you are affiliated with one of the organizations listed here, you are eligible to receive a $100 per credit tuition discount. <\/p>\n

Cal Grants<\/h4>\n

A Cal Grant<\/a> may be available to eligible California residents who transfer from a California Community College, based on family income, assets and GPA. A minimum of three credits per term are required. Applicants must file a FAFSA form or California Dream Act application and a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form. Visit the Cal Grant website<\/a> for deadline information. by March 2 of each year. <\/p>\n

Federal Pell Grant Program<\/h4>\n

Under the Federal Pell Grant program, eligibility will be determined based on the information submitted on the FAFSA. This grant is awarded to students with high financial need. <\/p>\n

Federal and private loans<\/h4>\n

Federal Direct Subsidized Loans<\/h5>\n

Eligibility for the Federal Direct Subsidized Loan<\/a> is determined by the FAFSA and is based on need. The government pays the interest while the student is in school. Students must be enrolled at least half time (three or more credits) to receive a Federal Direct Subsidized Loan.<\/p>\n

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans<\/h5>\n

Eligibility for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan<\/a> is determined by the FAFSA and is not need-based. Students must be enrolled at least half time (three credits or more per term) to receive a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. Eligibility will be determined by the Office of Financial Aid.<\/p>\n

Alternative\/Private Loans<\/h5>\n

Students should always utilize any awarded Federal Direct Loans prior to seeking an alternative loan. Interest rates on alternative loans are often much higher than the Federal Direct Loan rates. Eligibility is determined by the lender. Alternative\/private educational loans may only be taken out for up to the cost of attendance (less any financial aid received) as defined by the Office of Financial Aid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
