  • Cal Lutheran receives grant up to $1.2M

    The National Science Foundation's Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program has awarded Cal Lutheran up to $1.2 million over five years for a project to encourage STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) majors and STEM professionals to pursue careers in K-12 teaching, especially in high-need school districts.

  • Cal Lutheran receives $1.3M grant

    The U.S. Department of Education has approved a five-year grant worth $1,309,430 for California Lutheran University to continue the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, which supports students from underrepresented segments of society who want to attain doctoral degrees.

  • Cal Lutheran Upward Bound gets $3.6M

    The U.S. Department of Education awarded California Lutheran University more than $3.6 million to continue and expand its TRIO Traditional Upward Bound services for high school students in Oxnard, Hawthorne and Lawndale.

  • Cal Lutheran gets its largest NSF grant

    California Lutheran University received its largest National Science Foundation grant to date — $307,486 for a biologist and her students to study sexual selection in tiny Brazilian squirrel monkeys.

    The U.S. Department of Education has awarded California Lutheran University a five-year $1.39 million grant to help lower the high school dropout rate in South Oxnard and increase the number of students who enter and graduate from college.

  • Cal Lutheran senior receives Fulbright

    A California Lutheran University senior who studied throughout the former Soviet Union as an undergraduate has received a U.S. Student Fulbright award to return to teach English in Kazakhstan.

    Erik Fruth of Camarillo has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Study/Research Award, becoming the first California Lutheran University applicant to receive the program’s most competitive student fellowship.

    A May graduate of California Lutheran University who researched Los Angeles’ Mongolian immigrant community for his senior capstone has received a 2015-2016 U.S. Student Fulbright award to teach English in Mongolia.
