Student Research Symposium
The California Lutheran University Student Research Symposium showcases the work of Cal Lutheran's top students during Homecoming Weekend of each year. Most of these students have spent their entire summer working full-time side-by-side with a faculty mentor on their project. The original results that are shared at this venue are likely also to be presented at professional conferences throughout the region and country. Students from a wide variety of disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Exercise Science, Global Studies, Math, Psychology, and Religion share their work in 15-minute oral presentations at the start of the morning, followed by an interactive poster session.
The event, which takes place on the Saturday of Homecoming weekend, is free and open to the community-at-large as well. Each year sees a standing-room-only crowd celebrating the work of these bright young researchers.
Southern California Conferences of Undergraduate Research (SCCUR)
SCCUR holds an annual conference dedicated to the promotion and celebration of undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity.
Festival of Scholars
The Festival of Scholars showcases scholarly work of undergraduate and graduate students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Education, the Graduate School of Psychology and the School of Management. Scholarship is broadly defined and includes scientific experimentation, creative works, community-based inquiry, and other investigations. If you're interested in presenting at the Festival of Scholars, talk with your faculty mentor, advisor, or instructor about the most appropriate session for your presentation or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
