Research with Human Participants
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversees all research projects involving human participants. All investigators must complete an IRB application, as well as online training for human subject protection through the NIH. The Certificate of Completion should be saved, printed and provided to the IRB with your application. Visit Cal Lutheran's IRB website for more information, the IRB application and link to online training.
Research with Animal Subjects
Federal regulations require all research involving the use of animal subjects undergo a review by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to ensure that animals are handled in an ethical manner and not exposed to unnecessary risk.
