McNair Scholars Info Session
The McNair Scholars Program is designed to prepare eligible first-generation students with financial need or students from traditionally underrepresented groups such as Latino/a/x, Hispanic, African America, American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Pacific Islander for Ph.D. programs. The McNair Scholars Program is one of six Federal TRIO grants on campus. These programs expand students’ undergraduate experiences to include scholarly research and funding, faculty guidance, professional networks and associations, staff support, and community-based peer support.
Scholars participate in a 5-week residential summer program focused on research production with a Cal Lutheran Faculty Mentor. Program Benefits include paid trips to graduate schools, national research conferences, faculty mentorship, seminars, GRE preparation, tutoring and more!
We are seeking to admit high-potential students interested in gaining knowledge and skills leading towards successful entry into graduate programs and completion of doctoral degrees.
This event is part of the Student Research series.
